Testimonials

Ralph is an excellent tutor and mentor. Most people who are well-versed in a subject, especially Mathematics, have difficulty teaching the material in a way that is understandable to novices of the subject. Ralph is not one of those people. He is a highly knowledgeable, patient teacher who will try various avenues of explanation if one doesn't understand the information the first time. He also knows the balance between explaining a solution to a problem and letting the student tackle it on their own, which is important. I took three quarters of Statistics at the University of Cincinnati and with the help of this excellent tutor, excelled in all of them. I highly recommend Ralph as an tutor, mentor, and educator.

Ralph has been working with me in Differential Equations and is extremely helpful. I would recommend him as a tutor to any college student who needs help with their mathematics. He seems to have an overall great understanding of all principles found in math. Also, a nice guy who keeps the sessions fun.

Ralph has an innate awareness for the different ways that people learn, which makes him a very successful teacher in a field that is difficult for many students.

"

Ralph is well above average in aptitude in math and I believe that makes is possible for him to teach a wide range of students. He works hard to explain math concepts to those who struggle but I am also certain that he would be an excellent teacher for those who are as gifted as he is.

In The News

I work one-on-one or in small groups of students who are learning and improving on the same skills. My direct interaction allows me to diagnose weaknesses and create an individualized, customized learning plan that results in significant improvement.

I earned a perfect score on the math portion of the GRE, the highest possible score on the AP Calculus exam, Xavier University's college math placement exam and nearly perfect scores on SAT, ACT and AP Statistics exams, my knowledge and teaching abilities will lead your child to earn the scores he or she needs to place high in college.

From my experience teaching at multiple colleges and universities since 2009, I have come across many students who have been let down in the past by their negative learning experiences in Math. My learning resources combine Multimedia Resources that includes visual resources such as PowerPoint presentations, PDFs of handwritten examples, with audio files to accompany them. Taking advantage of online homework systems that have built-in examples and allow for unlimited repetition, students practice the skills to achieve mastery of the material.

"Grades #1 Factor"

Your high school grades are the #1 factor in the
 college admission decision.

Other factors count, but the body of work you develop in high school is what matters most—as it should.

Colleges do not choose students by the numbers only—they don’t simply take the students with the highest grades and test scores. Colleges use many other factors to add depth to the numbers, and to compare applicants with each other to build a class that fits the college’s mission. Students who meet or exceed the threshold for admission are, at selective colleges, evaluated based on all of the attributes they bring to campus, including special talents, academic interests, and personal characteristics.
